Across multiple desktops, applications and windows, I’m pretty much smashing GNOME 3 in Debian Wheezy against the wall to see if it breaks.
So far it’s all holding up very, very well.
As usual for a Debian Testing release, especially post-freeze and pre-release, you can’t find a more stable setup than Debian with its default desktop.
Just about everything works better in Wheezy than Squeeze, which is Debian’s current Stable release.
Notable on my part is the Java-based icedtea browser plugin, which was a whole lot less stable in Squeeze than it is in Wheezy.
The new “extended support release” versions of Thunderbird/Icedove and Firefox/Iceweasel add a bit of sanity to the distribution.
